An Amazing Four Months at Actual Reality
Black.White. logo
The last four months have seen a great flurry of activity at Actual Reality. Our feature documentary, THIN, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival; our series Black.White. achieved record ratings during its six-week run on FX; our made-for-television documentary Oh Baby, Now What? premiered on A&E; and our film Shays' Rebellion: The First American Civil War was shown as part of the History Channel's series Ten Days That Unexpectedly Changed America. In addition, we're hard at work on the new seasons of 30 Days and Flip That House, as well as a host of new projects that we'll be premiering in the months to come. And to top it off, a whole bunch of our work is now available on DVD and through the iTunes Music Store. So far, 2006 has been a banner year!

Making Dazed featured on the
Dazed and Confused Criterion Collection DVD
The Actual Reality Pictures original documentary Making Dazed, directed by the wonderful Kahane Corn, is included on the Criterion Collection's DVD release of Richard Linklater's classic film, Dazed and Confused. This documentary reunites the cast to talk about the film and how it affected their careers, and features behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the film. As with most DVD's from the Criterion Collection, it's a stellar production and a must-have for pretty much everyone.
THIN Wins Grand Jury Prize at BIFF
On April 21st, 2006, THIN, directed by our dear friend (and new mom!) Lauren Greenfield, won the Documentary Grand Jury Prize at the Boston Independent Film Festival. Congratulations to Lauren and everyone involved. We appreciate the attention this powerful film has received. Look for THIN's premiere on HBO this fall.
